Spiritually Homeless?

Maybe You’re Just Remembering Something Real
There’s a quiet shift happening right now. You can feel it in the way people talk about spirituality. It’s not all incense and ommm and perfect lotus poses that make my body hurt. It’s not about which religious book has the answers. It’s more like… a homesickness. For something we can’t quite describe.
We call it spiritual homelessness — and I believe it is something many people are experiencing right now.
So what does it mean to be spiritually homeless?
It’s when you believe in something, but it’s not the story you were told to believe in.
You haven’t turned your back on the thought of God or a higher power, you’re just looking a different direction and haven’t found your place.
It’s when you walk away from church (or a temple, or a whatever) not because you hate God, but because you can’t do the guilt-and-obedience thing anymore.
It’s when you still feel something during a quiet moment, or get emotional watching the sun come up, or maybe you talk to the trees and nature — but you’re not really sure what it all means anymore.
You’re not lost. You’re not broken. You haven’t ‘strayed’.You’re just between stories.
Or maybe… you’re remembering the old one. The real one.The one they tried to make us forget.
Before religion became a business of control, spirituality was wild, alive, and in us all. It was Earth-based. Star-connected. Soul-deep. Our ancestors danced it, grew it. And dreamed it. They didn’t seek permission or pay tithes to feel close to the divine — they just were.
But somewhere along the line, all that power we held within got labeled “dangerous.”They told us to fear our own knowing. They called our wisdom “witchcraft.” Our intuition became dangerous by challenging the doctrine we were being taught.
And suddenly, the only way to get to God was through a middleman with a robe and an invoice to pay.
A lot of us bought into that for a while. Some still do. And hey, if that brings someone peace and purpose, that’s beautiful. If they have found a community to give them a sense of belonging, good for them.
But if it doesn’t? If it leaves you asking more questions, and more confused?
Well, then maybe you’re spiritually homeless. Or maybe you’re just beginning to remember your address.
We believe the divine is within you. Always has been.
We believe you’re not separated from God, Source, Spirit, the Universe, or whatever you call it — you are it. We believe you’re not a sinner in need of saving — you’re a soul in need of remembering. And we believe joy, laughter, and community are just as sacred as the scriptures are to others.
So, just a reminder: You don’t need to be fixed. You don’t need to be converted. You don’t even need to believe what we believe.
You just need a place that feels like home while you figure things out in your own way.
If you’ve been wandering — carrying the weight of old baggage while still trying to move forward — we get it. We’re not here to tell you where to go or how to get there. We aren’t a gatekeeper to God.
We’re just here to walk with you. To bring you a community where you can express yourself in your most honest way. And to be happy, even if it is unreasonable at the time.
This is a space to share tea, ideas, strange dreams, and probably a few bursts of laughter along the way.
You don’t have to call it church. You don’t even have to call it spiritual.
But if it brings you closer to your joy, to truth, to yourself —Well then, maybe that’s enough.
Welcome home.
Ever evolving,
Gregory
